This year your student will be participating in a classroom economy as a part of our behavior management system. Throughout the school year students will earn valuable life skills such as: job applications, interviews, the exchange of money for goods and services, paying rent and taxes, as well as using a checking and savings account. Students will be rewarded for hard work and good character and fined for poor choices. All students will have a classroom job and/or ways to earn classroom money. They may spend the money in a class store (for class supplies if they lose our community supplies) or auction at varies times throughout the year. We are confident our students will enjoy our classroom economy and benefit greatly from it. Our hope is that the students will apply the economic skills they learn to their future lives outside the classroom. We hope you and your child are excited about this new experience as we am.
